For both businesses and individuals, Facebook ads can be an effective way to experiment with paid advertising without investing an excessive amount of time and money. Facebook allows you to create ads that are easy to manage, easy to monitor and that reach a targeted audience specific to your product or business.
When used effectively, Facebook ads can drive fans to your page, viewers to your website and create new customers for your business. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s get started!
Once you have created a Facebook page for your brand or business, go to the drop down menu on the top right-hand side of your Facebook dashboard. Then click ‘Create Ads’.
Next, it’s time to choose your ad campaign objective. Facebook ads can be used to drive traffic to your website, increase page likes or increase engagement on your Facebook page.
You can then give your ad campaign a name. Choose a name specific to your ad’s objective to ensure you can tell your ad sets apart and easily keep track of their process.
Next, it is time to choose your audience. This is one of the most important steps in creating your ad, as it determines the kind of people that your advertisement will reach. Start by choosing your ad’s basic audience filters such as location, age and gender. You can then narrow down your audience even further by choosing specific demographics, interests and behaviors relevant to your ad or business.
When it comes to Facebook ads, your audience shouldn’t be too specific or too broad. Make sure to think about the age ranges and genders that may be interested in your product, include a good range of relevant interests, and specify demographics and behaviors relevant to the people you are trying to reach.
You can then select your advertisement’s daily budget and schedule. You can choose how much you want to spend, as well as how long your ad will run for. The more money you spend on your advertisement, the more people your ad will reach. This will most likely result in a more effective execution of your ad’s objective.
Then simply confirm your ad objective and name your ad set.
Next, it is time to upload media for your ad. This is also a very important step, as the visual you attach to your ad will be the first thing potential customers will notice. You can upload a single image, a carousel of images or a video to optimize your ad’s delivery. You want to make sure the media that you upload is the recommended size, does not include too much text and reflects your business, product or brand.
You will be given a preview of how your ad will appear on Facebook. You can then select the Facebook page, social media accounts or website you want your advertisement to link to.
This is where you will need to enter your ad’s text, a link headline and a link news feed description. You should make sure your text is informative, eye-catching and appealing to your target audience.
Once you are happy with your ad’s content and appearance, simply click ‘Place Order’.
Facebook will then review your ad to ensure it meets all the necessary requirements. This shouldn’t take more than half an hour or so.
Once it has been approved, you can edit and monitor your ad’s performance and progress in Facebook ads manager.
Congratulations! You have now created your very own Facebook ad.
